What to watch?

Comments

Mushishi is good, especially considering it doesn't have much of an overarching plot. It just goes from episode to episode, which normally I hate, but in Mushishi I'm totally cool with it. It often has a very Princess Mononoke feel to it, and the animation is gorgeous. So is the opening theme (which is, bizzarely, in English...and kind of sounds like a song Simon and Garfunkel would write).

What else have I not recommended to you before? I'm watching Kanon 2006 and it is good. And I just started downloading Higurashi no Nake Koro ni Kai, which I haven't watched yet, but has been really highly recommended to me.

I also really want to download Simoun, an apparently fantastic anime that for some reason never got popular.

Oh, and I just finished Now and Then, Here and There, if you want something on the more depressing side. The animation style isn't the best, but the story is really really good.

*suddenly feels like a dork*
What kind of anime do you like ?
I highly recommend Lelouch the Rebellion.
Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't watched any of them yet, though I have seen the first Kanon.

Answer to your question: I like a lot of anime. That is why I didn't really give any specifics. It just depends on my mood.

summer season:

School Days if you are patient enough to get to the final episode. BOY does it make up for the first few episodes of seemingly usual school life and harem anime.

Kaibutsu Oujo if you just want to put your brain on cruise control.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei if you like a lot of extremely quirk-specific characters. The dark mood eases me into fall season well.

El Cazador de la Bruja still has me going,"ooh the next episode is out"

And one that is old, but i think is just great, great, great: Kino no Tabi

Just to let you know about my taste, I like anime which is rather heavy, something which line is rather blurred between who is right and who is wrong. If you also like that kind of anime, then Lelouch the Rebellion is the one for you. Perhaps also Gundam Seed. BUT, I don't like anime as heavy as Evangelion, although I enjoy looking at the characters

I also heard that Claymore is good and maybe I am going to watch it soon.
Right now, I am watching Prince of Tennis, and although it doesn't have any certain heavy plot, I enjoy watching it.

I recommend Tengen Toppa Gurren-Laggan. ^_^ I just finished it last night and I sitll have a bad hang-over. There's drama, action, light ecchi, romance, comedy, adventure, scifi... It's an awesome anime although a lot of people aren't really happy with its art. I actually like the art because it's unique. It gives this FLCL feeling with better animation though. ^_^ Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is EPIC. I'm hoping there would be an OVA at least in the future. ^_^;

Other anime I recommend are Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Maria-sama ga Miteru (all the seasons), Death Note, and Lucky Star. ^_^
Depends on what you like to watch...

If some shounen series then maybe D.Gray-man.
If you don't have anything against older series then maybe Slayers.
Or maybe Saber Marionette J - there's comedy, a bit of science-fiction, action and everything else that provides good entertainement.
And from more serious stuff, if you haven't seen Wolf's Rain then I highly recommend it (well, actually to all people who haven't seen it).

I suggest you to watch Ninja Senshi Tobikage, Grendizer and Wagaya no oinari-sama.
